Our beautifully hand crafted log homes are hand-hewn by craftsmen that have an average of 22 years experience creating hand scribed log homes.  Each log is hand scribed to a tight fit that insures a weather tight home. We have the ability to provide you with many log styles including Swedish cope, chinked & un-chinked logs, dove tail square logs, as well as hand sculpted character logs.
 
BayPoint logs are full length with no butt joints (splices in the log that can create shifting and air leaks).  Our Long Logs provide a tighter fit and greater structural integrity.  We provide logs that have a mean diameter of 12” to 14”.  Larger and smaller diameter logs are also available.
 
BayPoint is committed to the highest possible quality. We selectively harvest only healthy, live and mature first generation trees.  The trees are harvested in the winter when the sap is down.  The logs are stacked with the bark on for a minimum of one year for natural air-drying.  This produces a log with moisture content from between 15% to 20%.  This will insure minimum shrinkage.
